Mosimane Provides Reason For Williams & Mokoe
Bafana Bafana head coach Pitso Mosimane has explained why he included Ronwen Williams and Teboho Mokoena in his latest squad despite concerns surrounding their injury situations.
The two Mamelodi Sundowns stars remain important figures in the national team setup, but their fitness has become a talking point ahead of Bafana Bafana's upcoming assignments.
Mosimane, however, has opted against making an early decision to exclude either player, preferring to wait for a clearer medical assessment before determining their availability.
The experienced coach reportedly does not want to get ahead of himself by leaving out two key players without first receiving a final verdict on the extent of their injuries.
Their inclusion therefore provides room for further assessment as the technical team monitors their recovery and fitness levels.
Williams has established himself as Bafana Bafana's first-choice goalkeeper, while Mokoena remains an influential presence in midfield. Both players have played significant roles in the national team's recent progress.
Their potential absence would undoubtedly be a concern for Mosimane, particularly with important international fixtures approaching.
For now, their inclusion should not necessarily be interpreted as confirmation that they are fully fit to feature. Instead, the final decision will depend on their medical assessments and progress ahead of the matches.
Bafana supporters will be hoping the two Sundowns stars recover in time to make themselves available for national duty.
