PSL Confirms Another Change To Kaizer Chiefs vs Siwelele Carling Knockout Clash

The Premier Soccer League (PSL) has confirmed another change to the Carling Knockout quarter-final encounter between Kaizer Chiefs and Siwelele FC, bringing a fresh twist to the highly anticipated fixture.

According to the PSL announcement on Thursday, November 5, 2026, the match will still take place on Sunday, November 8, at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane. However, the kick-off time has been moved from 15:00 to 18:00.

The latest adjustment means Chiefs supporters will have to wait an additional three hours before watching their team battle Siwelele for a place in the Carling Knockout semi-finals.

The PSL explained that the decision was made to avoid a scheduling clash with Mamelodi Sundowns' CAF Super Cup encounter against USM Alger, which is scheduled to take place at Loftus Versfeld Stadium on the same afternoon.

Sundowns will be representing South Africa in the continental competition, and the PSL has adjusted its domestic cup schedule to accommodate the important fixture.

In its official communication, the league confirmed that both Carling Knockout quarter-final matches scheduled for Sunday will now kick off at 18:00.

This means the Stellenbosch FC versus AmaZulu FC encounter at Danie Craven Stadium will also take place at the same time.

For Kaizer Chiefs, the fixture presents an important opportunity to return to winning ways after their disappointing 2-1 defeat against Orlando Pirates in the recent Soweto Derby.

Fernando Da Cruz's side will be determined to secure a semi-final place after comfortably defeating TS Galaxy 3-0 in the previous round, with Wandile Duba scoring a memorable hat-trick.

Meanwhile, Siwelele FC booked their place in the quarter-finals after eliminating Polokwane City through a penalty shootout.

The two teams will now meet in Polokwane, with both sides understanding the importance of progressing in a competition that offers an opportunity to win silverware.

The PSL has also confirmed that tickets remain available online through Open Tickets at R100 each.

Chiefs supporters will be hoping their team makes the most of the home advantage and secures qualification for the semi-finals.
