Kaizer Chiefs Product Has Joined a New Club Today

Former Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Muhammad Naqeeb Bowers has officially joined ABC Motsepe League side NB La Masia after ending his five-year spell with Amakhosi. The move marks an important step in the young goalkeeper's career as he prepares to begin a new chapter with the Gauteng-based club.

Bowers, who is 19 years old, developed his football skills within the Kaizer Chiefs development structures. During his time at the club, he gained valuable experience while progressing through the youth ranks and working towards establishing himself as a professional footballer.

His journey at Amakhosi included development through the Gauteng Development League and the DStv Diski Challenge (DDC). These competitions provided him with opportunities to improve his goalkeeping abilities, gain experience against talented young players and prepare for the challenges of senior football.

One of the biggest highlights of his time at Kaizer Chiefs came during the 2024/25 season, when he won the DStv Diski Challenge title with the club. The achievement was an important moment in his development and a memorable experience during his time with the Soweto giants.

Winning the DDC title demonstrated the quality within the Kaizer Chiefs development system, which continues to provide opportunities for young footballers to grow and showcase their talent. For Bowers, being part of a championship-winning team was another valuable experience as he continued to improve his game.

However, after spending five years with Kaizer Chiefs, the young goalkeeper has now moved on in search of a fresh opportunity. His decision to join NB La Masia gives him a chance to continue his development and compete in a different football environment.

NB La Masia compete in the ABC Motsepe League in Gauteng, where Bowers will hope to make a positive impression and demonstrate his abilities. At 19, he still has plenty of time to develop, and the opportunity to gain experience in senior football could play an important role in his progress.

For young goalkeepers, patience, consistency and match experience are essential for building a successful career. Bowers will therefore be hoping that his move provides the right platform to improve his performances and open doors to further opportunities in the future.

Although his departure brings his five-year journey with Kaizer Chiefs to an end, it also opens the door to a new chapter. The young shot-stopper will now focus on making the most of his opportunity at NB La Masia as he continues pursuing his football ambitions.

His next challenge will be to establish himself at his new club, earn playing opportunities and show that he has what it takes to progress further in his football career.
