Former Kaizer Chiefs captain Itumeleng Khune continues to enjoy life away from professional football, maintaining close relationships with some of the club's most celebrated figures. The legendary goalkeeper recently gave fans a glimpse of his social life after sharing a video featuring another Kaizer Chiefs icon, Doctor Khumalo, and his son, Diego Khumalo.

Khune, affectionately known as "Spiderkid" among football supporters, took to his official Instagram account on Wednesday evening to share footage of himself spending time with Doctor Khumalo and the young football prospect.

The meeting brought together two individuals who have made significant contributions to Kaizer Chiefs over the years. Khune established himself as one of the club's most influential goalkeepers, earning admiration for his outstanding performances, leadership qualities and long-standing commitment to the Soweto giants.

Doctor Khumalo, meanwhile, remains one of the most respected figures in the history of South African football. His achievements in the famous gold and black jersey have secured his place among the club's greatest legends. He has also continued to contribute to football administration and development, recently taking up the position of Vice Chairperson of the SAFA Technical Committee.

His son, Diego Khumalo, is also working towards establishing himself in the football industry. The youngster is currently undergoing development at the Stars of Africa Academy, which is run by renowned football development coach Farouk Khan.

Diego's progress is attracting attention because of his family's strong football background, with many hoping that he can eventually follow in his father's footsteps and create his own legacy in the sport.

The academy, based at FNB Stadium, has been involved in developing young football talents, providing them with opportunities to improve their skills and prepare for professional football.

Khune's social media post comes at a time when Kaizer Chiefs supporters are looking forward to an important period for their beloved club. Amakhosi recently secured qualification for the Carling Knockout Cup quarterfinals after defeating TS Galaxy.

Attention is now turning towards the upcoming Soweto Derby against arch-rivals Orlando Pirates, with supporters hoping their team can deliver a memorable performance.
