Orlando Pirates Medical Room Secret Leaked as Coach Compares Star Player to a Luxury Car

Pirates Fans Receive Major Appollis Injury Boost as Ouaddou Reveals His Next Move

Orlando Pirates have received encouraging news regarding Oswin Appollis after the winger returned to training following an injury scare, although head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou has warned that the club will not rush his return to competitive action.

The development comes as the Buccaneers prepare for several important fixtures across domestic and continental competitions, including their highly anticipated Soweto Derby against Kaizer Chiefs on October 31.

Appollis raised concerns when he was stretchered off during Pirates' 3-0 Betway Premiership victory over TS Galaxy earlier this month. Before his withdrawal, the attacker had made a valuable contribution by providing the assist for Boitumelo Radiopane's opening goal.

Following the incident, Ouaddou expressed hope that the problem was caused by fatigue rather than a serious injury. The decision to substitute the winger was reportedly made after discussions between the player, coaching staff and medical team.

His return to training has since provided a welcome boost for Pirates supporters, who are eager to see one of the team's dangerous attacking players back in action.

Ouaddou revealed that the latest training session was used to assess Appollis' physical condition, particularly his ability to sprint and perform movements without experiencing pain. The initial feedback was encouraging, with the winger reportedly indicating that he felt no discomfort during the session.

However, the Pirates coach emphasised that the club must remain cautious when managing the fitness of its important players. He compared his squad members to luxury sports cars, highlighting the need to protect their physical condition throughout a demanding season.

Appollis' return to training does not necessarily mean he is ready to play immediately. The technical team will continue monitoring his progress before making a final decision about his availability.

His pace, creativity and ability to beat defenders make him a valuable attacking option for the Buccaneers.

With crucial CAF Champions League commitments and the Soweto Derby approaching, Pirates will be hoping Appollis recovers fully. For now, his progress offers optimism, but the club's priority remains ensuring he returns without risking another injury setback.
