Former Orlando Pirates Coach Set to Earn R350,000 Monthly at New Club

Following Pitso Dladla's retirement from his position as head coach of the Golden Arrows, it has been claimed that Mandla Ncikazi, a former assistant coach with the Orlando Pirates, has been promoted to the position. It is anticipated that the seasoned tactician would return to the club headquartered in Durban where they are attempting to enhance their performances following a string of outcomes that have been less than satisfactory.

Previously, Ncikazi was employed by Golden Arrows during the 2020/21 Premier Soccer League season, during which time he was instrumental in the team's remarkable achievement of finishing in fourth place. As the administration works to re-establish continuity and boost the team's position in the league, it is anticipated that his return will bring with it considerable expertise and familiarity with the club.

It was already confirmed by Orlando Pirates that Ncikazi would be leaving his job as assistant coach to Abdeslam Ouaddou. In the statement, it was said that he would be leaving the Buccaneers in order to pursue a head coaching position. This paved the door for his rumoured return to the Golden Arrows.

There are reports that indicate that Ncikazi has reached an agreement with the club headquartered in Durban to sign a deal that will last for two years and will pay him a monthly salary of R350,000. Golden Arrows are looking to enhance their performances under his direction, and the reported package would represent a big investment from the team if it were to be confirmed. On the other hand, the club has not formally authorised the duration of the contract or the specifics of the salary.

The expectation is that Ncikazi will take over for Dladla, who assumed the position of manager following Manqoba Mngqithi's departure from Golden Arrows to join the Tanzanian team Young Africans SC.

In the beginning, Dladla had a bright start, as the Golden Arrows were able to win all six of their matches without suffering a single loss. Additionally, the team achieved noteworthy victory in the MTN8 against Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns, which raised the expectations of the fans.

Following that, however, their performances began to deteriorate, and it was said that the team went five matches in a row without achieving a victory. As a result of the unsatisfactory performances, the technical team was put under more pressure, which ultimately resulted in the decision to make a change in the coaching staff.

In the event that Ncikazi makes a comeback, Golden Arrows might have the chance to reclaim the form that they exhibited during his last stay. As he begins his new task, it is possible that his prior experience in South African football and his familiarity with the atmosphere of the club would prove to be beneficial.

It will be his initial priority to restore the players' confidence, enhance their consistency, and assist the squad in getting back to winning ways. In addition to this, he will be responsible for evaluating the team and developing a strategic approach that is capable of producing superior outcomes.

Despite the fact that the pressure to achieve rapid gains is expected to be strong, the projected two-year pact would provide Ncikazi with the opportunity to work toward the club's goals.

The supporters of the Golden Arrows will be hopeful that his return would offer stability to the team and assist the club in recovering from the difficulties it has been experiencing recently. Ncikazi's performance will ultimately be determined by the achievements he achieves on the pitch, despite the fact that the rumoured monthly wage of R350,000 has garnered a lot of attention.
