Simo Dladla Leads Young Africans to Another Big Victory After Mngqithi's Exit

South African coach Simo Dladla continued his impressive start as interim coach of Young Africans SC after guiding the Tanzanian giants to a convincing 4-0 victory over Kagera Sugar FC in the Tanzanian Premier League on Sunday.

The victory was Dladla's second consecutive win since taking charge of the team, giving Young Africans another important result as they look to challenge for the league title this season.

Dladla joined Young Africans as part of the technical team under former head coach Manqoba Mngqithi. Following Mngqithi's departure, the South African tactician was given the responsibility of taking over as interim coach while the club continues competing in domestic and continental competitions.

He has made a positive start to his temporary spell in charge, with Sunday's comfortable victory showing that Young Africans are determined to remain competitive despite the changes in their technical team.

The home side produced an impressive performance against Kagera Sugar, scoring four goals without conceding. Mamelodi Sundowns legend Peter Shalulile opened the scoring in the 27th minute, continuing his good form in front of goal.

The Namibian striker has now scored in two consecutive matches and taken his season's goal tally to six. His contribution remains important for Young Africans as they look to collect maximum points and keep pressure on their rivals.

Mohamed Hussein doubled the advantage in the 33rd minute, putting the hosts in a comfortable position before the half-time break.

Kagera Sugar struggled to find a response as Young Africans continued to control the match. The home side then added two more goals towards the end of the encounter through Cheikh Toure.

Toure scored in the 88th minute before finding the net again in the 90th minute to complete his brace and confirm the 4-0 victory.

The result has also strengthened Young Africans' position in the league title race. They have moved to within two points of leaders Simba SC, who have collected 18 points. However, Young Africans have played one more match than their rivals.

Simba remain the only team yet to suffer defeat in the campaign, having won all six of their matches. Their perfect record means the competition at the top of the table remains intense.

For Dladla, the two successive victories provide an encouraging beginning to his time as interim coach. He will now be hoping to maintain that momentum and help Young Africans continue putting pressure on Simba as the Tanzanian league campaign progresses.
