South African defender Olwethu Makhanya featured for the full 90 minutes as Rangers secured an emphatic 4-0 victory over St. Johnstone on Saturday, continuing their push near the top of the Scottish Premiership standings.

Makhanya played the entire match as Rangers delivered a dominant performance, keeping a clean sheet while finding the back of the net four times. The convincing result provided a major boost to the club’s league campaign and strengthened their position in the title race.

The victory saw Rangers move to 23 points in the Scottish Premiership, leaving them just one point behind league leaders Celtic, who still have a game in hand.

With the season continuing to develop, Rangers will be looking to maintain their momentum and put pressure on Celtic as they aim to challenge for the league title. Every point could prove crucial in what is shaping up to be a competitive battle at the top of the table.

For Makhanya, completing the full match was another opportunity to contribute to the team’s defensive efforts as Rangers recorded a commanding win. The South African will hope to continue earning playing time and help the Scottish giants maintain their strong run of form.

Rangers’ latest result keeps them firmly in contention, although Celtic’s game in hand means the title race remains finely balanced. Rangers will now look to build on the four-goal victory as they prepare for their next challenge.
