Atletico Madrid will now battle it out against Deportivo La Coruna for their matchweek 10 fixture of the LaLiga 2026-27 season. Riyadh Air Metropolitano is all set to witness this interesting outing.

Diego Simone’s men are in second place on the league table with seven wins in their first nine matches. They came out on top to secure a 1-0 victory against Espanyol in their previous Spanish top-division clash. Atletico Madrid will now only be looking to extend their winning run.

Being the home side is surely going to put them at an advantage. Los Colchoneros will be looking to establish early control and will not want to allow many chances to their opponents.

On the other hand, Branquiazuis have struggled in their last five matches. With two wins in nine games, they are in ninth place on the LaLiga points table. The Antonio Hidalgo-led side were held to a 1-1 draw against Levante in their recent league outing.

They will not be looking to make the same mistakes against Atleti. Deportivo La Coruna are going to be under some pressure because the upcoming clash will be an away fixture for them.

Players to Watch

Julian Alvarez (Atletico Madrid)

Julian Alvarez has finally scored his first goal of the season for Atletico Madrid. His goal acted as a crucial equaliser for the LaLiga side in their 1-1 draw against VfB Stuttgart in their recent Champions League outing. The Argentine striker will now be looking to extend his goal-scoring run and come up with similar form in the domestic league competition.

Bil Nsongo (Deportivo La Coruna)

The 22-year-old striker from Cameroon was one of the top performers for Deportivo La Coruna in their 1-1 draw against Levante. He broke the deadlock, but his goal was not enough to get his side three points. Bil Nsongo will be looking to step up his game and help his side get back to winning ways.
