LIVERPOOL fans were critical of JEREMY JACQUET following his blunder against Fenerbahce.
The defender was responsible for allowing Mason Greenwood to score from a free-kick during the Champions League fixture.
Jacquet, 21, lined up in the Liverpool wall as the former Manchester United player prepared to take the set-piece.
As the kick was taken, the French defender turned, creating a gap in the wall.
The ball deflected off Jacquet, misleading Alisson in the goal and leading to a goal.
This goal was vital in the match, as Liverpool was initially ahead 1-0 but ended up losing 3-2 in Istanbul.

Fans expressed their dissatisfaction with Jacquet’s performance across social media.
One fan remarked: “What a poor free-kick by Greenwood. It took a massive deflection and went past Alisson. The wall collapsed and hit Jacquet, resulting in a goal.”
Another wrote: “Disappointing display from Jacquet and Szoboszlai. They need to position themselves better.”
A third user commented: “Jérémy Jacquet failed to block the free-kick, leading to a goal conceded by Liverpool.”

A fourth stated: “Honestly, this Jacquet guy may be the worst defender I’ve ever seen.”
Another added: “Jacquet had a bad game today; let’s hope it’s just a one-time occurrence.”
Liverpool regained the lead through Alexander Isak, who scored with a header past Ederson.
However, the Turkish side fought back with goals from Archie Brown and Vedat Muriqi to secure the victory.
