Kaizer Chiefs continued their unbeaten run in the DStv Diski Challenge season with a 2-0 win over Siwelele at the UJ Soweto Stadium on Sunday, as Matchday Six showcased numerous thrilling results.

Amakhosi entered the match aiming to build on their impressive streak after winning every game this season. This latest win solidified their status as the only team in the league to not have dropped any points.

With this victory, coach Vela Khumalo’s team strengthened their grip on the top of the standings, amassing 18 points from six matches. Chiefs now hold a five-point advantage over their nearest rivals.

Defending champions Orlando Pirates also kept their momentum going with a dominant display against Sekhukhune United. The Buccaneers claimed a commanding 5-0 victory at the UJ Soweto Stadium, dealing Babina Noko their first defeat of the season.

As a result, Pirates surged from seventh to fifth in the standings, having secured 10 points from their first six matches.

In contrast, Mamelodi Sundowns dropped points after a 1-1 draw with Polokwane City at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Saturday.

Despite not securing a win, Masandawana rose from third to second in the league table with 13 points. They are tied on points with Sekhukhune United but hold the position ahead due to a superior goal difference.

In other matches, Golden Arrows triumphed 2-0 over TS Galaxy at Chatsworth Stadium, while Milford and Chippa United battled to a 1-1 draw at the UJ AW Muller Stadium.

AmaZulu had an impressive performance, defeating two-time DStv Diski Challenge champions Stellenbosch FC 3-1 at Chatsworth Stadium.

On the other hand, Marumo Gallants faced a narrow 1-0 loss against Richards Bay at the UJ AW Muller Stadium.

The final match of Matchday Six saw Durban City secure their first victory of the season, edging past Kruger United with a 1-0 scoreline at the Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium.
