While there are few chances of earning a surprise Bafana call-up, the Springboks never waste an opportunity to show off their football skills. During a recent training session this was once again the case, with the world champs displaying some impressive ball-juggling ability that quickly went viral – racking up tens of thousands of views and nearly 20 000 likes as fans marvelled at the ability to keep the ball off the turf ... and at the soundtrack.
Even when they are not throwing an oval ball around, the Boks command unmatched pulling power, proving supporters will happily devour anything the squad gets up to. Trading bone-crunching collisions for the delicate art of playground keepy-uppy, the backs and forwards showed plenty of flair with the ball in the circle.
Jasper Wiese – hardly anyone's first pick in a five-on-five – kicked things off with a few surprisingly deft "taps" and the crew quickly drew in serious Bok artillery, with the likes of skipper Siya Kolisi, Canan Moodie, Edwill van der Merwe, Pieter-Steph du Toit, Ethan Hooker, Damian de Allende and Aphele Fassi all joining in on the action.

What followed was hardly jogo bonito, but it was delivered with commitment. The real comedy lay in the acoustics. Every dipping pass, header and knee trap triggered a chorus of grunts, gasps, and shouts of "Huh! Mine! Yours! Who's there?” that echoed across the field.
The light-hearted knockabout was a welcome breather amidst the preparations for Saturday's high-stakes Nations Championship clash against Italy.
For an unbeaten South African side carrying huge expectations into every fixture, the improvised kickabout provided the perfect pressure-releasing distraction. Bafana ace Relebohile Mofokeng is hardly likely to lose sleep over the competition, but for team chemistry, morale, and sheer playground vibes, the Bok boys earned a resounding 10 out of 10.
