Kwara United technical adviser Ashifat Sulaiman said he is encouraged by the club’s development after it earned a 1-1 away draw against Barau FC.
The Harmony Boys shared the points with Barau FC in their Matchday 10 fixture at Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano on Sunday. Goodluck Ogbolu found the net for Kwara United, while Anthony Sunday scored Barau FC’s goal.
Sulaiman said the team would keep working to achieve stronger outcomes in future matches on the road.
“This is the direction we need to take,” Sulaiman said during the post-match news conference. “We will use this result as a foundation and keep getting better.”
Kwara United have collected 12 points from their opening 10 games of the season.
The club will return to Ilorin on Sunday to face Bendel Insurance at the Rashidi Yekini Main Bowl, aiming to extend the momentum gained from the Kano result.
