Chelsea secured a convincing 2-0 victory over 10-man Manchester United at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, extending the visitors’ winless run to nine matches across all competitions.
The defeat leaves Manchester United in danger of slipping into the Premier League relegation zone this weekend, piling further pressure on Michael Carrick’s side.
United started the encounter brightly and created the better chances in the first half.
However, poor finishing proved costly, with Bruno Fernandes and Amad Diallo both coming close to finding the back of the net as the Blues struggled to settle into the game.
The visitors were made to pay for their missed opportunities just five minutes into the second half when Morgan Rogers broke into the penalty area unchallenged before calmly slotting home the opener.
