I have given the players confidence to win Debibi United game – Hearts of Oak Coach

Hearts of Oak will look to continue their strong start to the Ghana Premier League campaign when they travel to Debibi United at the Debibi Presby Park on Sunday.

The fixture will mark the first meeting between the two clubs in the top flight, with the Phobians aiming to maintain their challenge at the top of the table. Debibi United, on the other hand, will be eager to recover from their recent defeat and make a strong impression against one of Ghana’s most successful clubs.

Hearts coach Nebojsa Kapor is confident his players have the mentality and ability to collect all three points on the road, but he has warned that the encounter will not be straightforward.

“I have given the players the confidence to win this game because this is a team capable of winning away matches. That is the mindset we have adopted. We must remain positive, focused and serious in our approach as we aim to secure all three points, although we know it will not be an easy task,” Kapor said.

Debibi United will enter the game looking to respond after losing to Bechem United in their previous fixture. The newly promoted side will hope to use their home advantage to secure a positive result in their maiden top-flight clash with the Accra giants.

Hearts of Oak travel to Debibi on the back of a 1-0 win over Basake Holy Stars at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium last weekend. That victory extended their winning streak to three league games, following earlier successes against Vision FC and Port City.

The Phobians currently occupy second position on the league table with 17 points from eight matches. They are level on points with leaders Medeama SC but sit behind them on goal difference.
