AFL WAG Chelsea Becirevic has slammed former Brisbane Lions star Lachie Neale and revealed she is firmly on his ex-wife's side, as she attended Derby Day on Saturday.

The influencer took aim at the footy player after his cheating scandal, which ended Lachie's marriage to Jules Neale and tore apart her friendship with Tess Crosley.

'We have got to remember not to blame the girl. It is always the boy's fault,' Chelsea told the Daily Mail as she attended Flemington Racecourse with partner Ivan Soldo.

She then said that while she did not personally know Jules, she felt a strong bond with her.

'I don't know her personally, but she's so beautiful. I'm 100 percent Team Jules! Well, I'm Team anything that is not him!' Chelsea said.

However, Chelsea added that she held no ill will toward Lachie's new girlfriend Emma Field.

'I'm sure she is beautiful, but the whole situation is a shame,' she said.

The glittering world of the Melbourne Cup Carnival was shaping up to be an uncomfortable social minefield for AFL superstar Lachie.

He and his new girlfriend Emma arrived late to the G.H. Mumm marquee in the Birdcage, with ex-wife Jules expected to attend on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Jules is poised to step into the spotlight during Melbourne Cup, as she revealed in last week's industry newsletter Social Diary that she was seeking brand partnerships for the occasion.

Even if the trio had avoided coming face-to-face, their appearances at Australia's most glamorous racing carnival were certain to attract attention.

After Emma's headline-grabbing outing at this year's AFL Grand Final drew inevitable comparisons with Lachie's appearance at the same event a year earlier alongside Jules and his then-mistress.

If both women had stepped out on one of the biggest stages of the spring social calendar, comparisons between Jules and Emma, from their trackside fashion to their presence in Flemington's exclusive social circles, would have been almost impossible to avoid.

Lachie and Emma have been dating for around six months, with Emma supporting the dual Brownlow Medallist at Brisbane Lions matches since July.

Lachie's marriage to Jules spectacularly unravelled late last year, following allegations of an affair involving her former best friend Tess.

Jules has since returned to Perth with the former couple's two young children, while Lachie has moved on with Emma and recently signed a three-year deal with Collingwood after eight seasons at Brisbane.

The footballer has publicly apologised for letting down his family, while Jules has spoken candidly about the devastation of discovering the alleged betrayal.

Since the split, both Lachie and Jules have made high-profile appearances on the social circuit, with Emma increasingly stepping into the spotlight alongside her new partner.
