According to a report by Daily Post on Saturday October 31, 2026, Bursaspor president Enes Çelik has revealed that the Turkish club will only consider selling Nigerian striker Kelechi Iheanacho if they receive an exceptionally high transfer offer.
Iheanacho has attracted attention following his impressive performances since joining Bursaspor on a free transfer during the summer.
The 30-year-old has enjoyed a remarkable start to life with the Green Crocodiles, scoring 16 goals and providing three assists in 12 league appearances.
His impressive goalscoring record has reportedly attracted interest from Turkish Super Lig giants Fenerbahçe, who are considering a move for the Nigerian international during the January transfer window.
However, Bursaspor are reluctant to lose one of their most important players and would prefer to keep him at the club.
Çelik has made it clear that although the club are interested in retaining Iheanacho, they would be willing to evaluate a substantial offer if one arrives.
Speaking to Gol TV, the Bursaspor president said: "I want him to stay on the team the most. However, if very high offers come in, we will evaluate them as management. He also wants to bring transfer income to the club."
The statement suggests that Bursaspor are not completely ruling out the possibility of selling the former Leicester City and Sevilla striker, although any interested club would have to meet their financial demands.
Iheanacho's impressive form has made him an important figure at Bursaspor, with his goals helping the club in their campaign to secure promotion to the Turkish Super Lig.
The Nigerian forward is also reportedly keen to help the club generate transfer revenue should an attractive offer arrive.
Meanwhile, Fenerbahçe's reported interest could provide an interesting development ahead of the January transfer window.
However, no agreement has been announced, and Iheanacho's immediate future remains at Bursaspor unless an exceptional offer convinces the club's management to sanction his departure.
