According to a report by Barca Blaugranes on Thursday October 22, 2026, Barcelona legend Gerard Pique has predicted a convincing victory for his former club ahead of Sunday's El Clasico against Real Madrid, backing Hansi Flick's side to beat Jose Mourinho's team 4-1 at Camp Nou.
The highly anticipated encounter will mark Mourinho's return to Barcelona following his reported return to the Real Madrid dugout in the summer, adding extra intrigue to an already fiercely contested rivalry.
Pique, who enjoyed numerous memorable victories over Madrid during his Barcelona career, shared his prediction in a video on TikTok while discussing the two teams ahead of the weekend's showdown.
Recalling Mourinho's first visit to Camp Nou as Real Madrid manager, Pique said: "The first time Mourinho went to the Camp Nou, he lost 5-0. I predict 4-1."
The former defender's prediction suggests he expects Barcelona to secure another emphatic victory over their historic rivals, although the result remains to be seen.
Barcelona will enter the game looking to respond after suffering a 4-2 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League during the week. Despite that setback, Flick's side have maintained a perfect record in La Liga and will be determined to preserve their strong domestic form.
Real Madrid, meanwhile, have work to do after falling six points behind Barcelona in the league standings. Defeats to Atletico Madrid and Real Betis have added pressure on Mourinho ahead of one of the biggest fixtures of the season.
A victory for Barcelona would extend their advantage to nine points, while a Madrid win would give the visitors an opportunity to reduce the gap and strengthen their position in the title race.
Mourinho's return is expected to attract considerable attention because of his previous battles with Barcelona and the intense rivalry that defined his earlier spell in Spanish football.
However, Pique believes the Catalan giants can come out on top once again, predicting a 4-1 scoreline that would give Barcelona supporters plenty to celebrate.
