According to a report by Daily Post on Saturday October 24, 2026, Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho has named a strong squad for Sunday's El Clásico against Barcelona, with Kylian Mbappé, Jude Bellingham and Arda Güler among the high-profile players included for the highly anticipated encounter.

According to Daily Post Nigeria, Madrid will travel to Camp Nou for the LaLiga showdown with a squad featuring several experienced players and exciting attacking options as they prepare to face their fierce rivals.

The encounter promises to be a major test for both teams, with Barcelona looking to respond after their reported Champions League defeat to Paris Saint-Germain, while Real Madrid head into the fixture following a victory over RB Leipzig in midweek.

Mbappé is expected to be one of the central figures in the build-up to the match. The French forward's pace, movement and finishing ability could pose a significant threat to Barcelona's defence, particularly if Madrid find opportunities to attack on the counter.

Bellingham is another key name in the reported selection. The England international offers Madrid an important presence in midfield, combining his ability to carry the ball forward with his movement into the penalty area and contribution in front of goal.

Güler's inclusion also provides another potential source of creativity. The Turkish midfielder is capable of producing incisive passes and creating opportunities in tight spaces, qualities that could prove valuable against a Barcelona side expected to compete aggressively for possession.

Madrid's reported squad also features Eduardo Camavinga, Federico Valverde, Aurélien Tchouaméni and Antonio Rüdiger, giving the team several options across midfield and defence.

The availability of multiple midfielders could allow Madrid to adopt different approaches depending on how the game develops. Valverde's energy and ability to cover ground could be particularly useful, while Camavinga and Tchouaméni could help provide defensive protection against Barcelona's attacking movements.

At the back, Madrid would need to remain organised and disciplined against Barcelona's forward line. Limiting the space available to their opponents and avoiding costly mistakes could prove decisive in a match where individual moments often influence the final result.

Barcelona, meanwhile, will be determined to make the most of their home advantage. Despite the reported setback against Paris Saint-Germain, the Catalan side will have an opportunity to respond in front of their supporters and demonstrate their ability to compete against one of their biggest rivals.

For Madrid, the challenge will be to turn their reported midweek momentum into another positive result. Mourinho's side would need to combine their attacking quality with defensive discipline if they are to leave Camp Nou with a victory.

El Clásico remains one of the most closely watched fixtures in world football, and Sunday's encounter could have important implications for the LaLiga title race.
