Manchester United are reportedly preparing to sell Andre Onana next summer, with Turkish rivals Trabzonspor and Galatasaray interested in signing the Cameroon international.
According to a report by FootballTransfers on Tuesday, 27 October 2026, United could accept an offer of around €10 million for the goalkeeper as they look to secure a permanent exit following his loan spell in Turkey.
Onana joined Manchester United from Inter Milan in 2023 for approximately €50 million, having impressed during his time in Italy. However, a series of costly errors and inconsistent performances affected his standing at Old Trafford.
The 30-year-old eventually lost his place as United’s first-choice goalkeeper, with the club signing Senne Lammens to strengthen their options in the position.
Onana subsequently moved to Trabzonspor on loan, where he has reportedly rebuilt his confidence and attracted interest ahead of the summer transfer window.
Trabzonspor are keen to make his stay permanent after retaining him for another season. However, their Turkish Super Lig rivals Galatasaray have also emerged as potential suitors, according to Africa Foot.
The report suggests that Manchester United could be willing to accept around €10 million for the goalkeeper, a significant reduction from the €30 million to €40 million valuations previously discussed.
Onana is reportedly comfortable at Trabzonspor, although his long-term intentions remain unclear. His initial move to Turkey was viewed as a possible stepping stone towards returning to one of Europe's leading leagues.
Trabzonspor’s recent recruitment and strong start under manager Thomas Reis could influence his decision. The club have reportedly won their first six matches under the German coach.
Galatasaray’s interest could complicate Trabzonspor’s efforts to secure a permanent deal, potentially creating competition for the goalkeeper’s signature.
United also have a contractual reason to resolve the situation, with Onana’s current deal reportedly running until 2028.
Selling him next summer would give the club an opportunity to recoup part of their original investment rather than risk approaching the final year of his contract.
