NFO 2-0 MCI: Four Worst Man City Players in First-Half of The Premier League Clash

According to a report by Flashscore on Saturday November 7, 2026, Manchester City endured a difficult first half against Nottingham Forest, going into the break trailing 2-0 after conceding goals to Cunha and Liam Delap.

Enzo Maresca's side struggled to turn their possession into meaningful attacking opportunities, while Forest punished their defensive mistakes.

1. Jeremy Doku

Doku struggled to make his attacking threat count against Forest. In the eighth minute, the winger received the ball inside the penalty area and attempted to score, but his effort was blocked by a defender. He also failed to find a teammate with a pass into the box in the 14th minute. His biggest disappointment came in the 30th minute when a teammate delivered an excellent low pass into his path, but he failed to control the ball properly, allowing the opposition defence to clear the danger.

2. Enzo Fernandez

Fernandez was unable to make his deliveries and attacking opportunities count. The midfielder sent in a corner in the ninth minute, but Forest's defence dealt with the danger. His biggest opportunity arrived in the 24th minute when Marc Guehi delivered an excellent ball into the box. Fernandez found himself with a close-range heading opportunity but sent his effort narrowly over the crossbar. His corner in the 42nd minute was also cleared without creating a threat.

3. Erling Haaland

Haaland struggled to influence the game before the interval. The striker had an opportunity to reduce City's deficit in the 41st minute after receiving an excellent pass inside the penalty area. However, his attempted finish was blocked by a Forest defender. It was a promising position, but he could not find a way past the opposition defence.

4. Elliot Anderson

Anderson also endured a quiet first half and failed to provide a meaningful attacking contribution. His most notable involvement came in the 38th minute when he was penalised for dangerous play after committing a foul. With City already trailing by two goals, he will need to offer more after the restart.
