There’s still a lot of time left’ — Barcelona loanee breaks silence on his Liverpool future

Barcelona on-loan player Ronald Araujo has refused to give any answers regarding his future at Liverpool, saying that there is plenty of time ahead before any decisions have to be made.

The Uruguayan signed with a season-long loan deal to Liverpool from Barcelona this summer with the Premier League side having the option to activate a permanent transfer for around £47million.

Araujo has hit the ground running and gained a large fanbase at Anfield so far. Araujo's standout form has caused talk to begin around whether Liverpool will make a permanent deal here.

However, Araujo was cautious in an interview with Sky Sports Premier League, “I want to thanks to all of you for this love you have. I am really grateful!” Araujo said.

“But there is still time to come so there’s lots of time left. I cannot say anything because I do not know. There’ll be many months until they make a decision.” Araujo stated he wants to help Liverpool succeed

Araujo has shown a strong attitude toward his new club. He praises the squad for being loaded with both experienced and young players. Since arriving at the club the former Barcelona captain has played at Right-Back under manager Andoni Iraola in which he has excelled.

Araujo scored against Villarreal in the Champions League, sprinting toward the supporters to celebrate his goal. His performance against Brighton and Chelsea has earned him Man of the Match awards.

As Araujo begins to become more influential at the club Liverpool could be interested in signing him permanently. For now Araujo is focused on his plays and he has stated he won't speak about his future until the time comes.
