UCL Table After Barcelona Won 3-0

According to a report by BBC Sport on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, Hansi Flick's side dominated proceedings and demonstrated their attacking quality throughout the encounter.

The Catalan club wasted little time establishing their authority as Yamal gave Barcelona the lead in the seventh minute. An error in Aston Villa's defence allowed the young attacker to find space inside the penalty area, where he calmly directed the ball into the net from close range.

Barcelona continued to apply pressure and created several opportunities to extend their advantage before the interval. Aston Villa also threatened, with Anthony Gordon forcing an impressive save from Zion Suzuki in the 26th minute. At the opposite end, Joan Garcia demonstrated his quality by preventing Johan Manzambi from finding the breakthrough after a promising attacking move.

Fermin Lopez nearly doubled Barcelona's advantage in the 41st minute when he connected with a corner kick, but Suzuki reacted brilliantly to keep out his header. Despite the opportunities created by both teams, Barcelona went into half-time with a narrow 1-0 lead.

The hosts returned from the break with renewed determination and increased their advantage in the 52nd minute. Fermin played an important role in the move by setting up Raphinha, whose attempt from outside the penalty area took a deflection before finding its way past Suzuki.

Raphinha struck again in the 64th minute to complete his brace and put Barcelona firmly in control. The Brazilian received an accurate pass from Joao Cancelo inside the penalty area before calmly sending a low effort into the bottom-left corner.

Aston Villa attempted to reduce the deficit but struggled to break through Barcelona's organised defence. Leon Goretzka came particularly close in the 70th minute when his header from a corner struck the right-hand post.

Fermin also had another opportunity to get on the scoresheet, but Suzuki produced an excellent save. Yamal remained dangerous in the closing stages, although Aston Villa's goalkeeper prevented him from scoring again.

Barcelona eventually secured an emphatic 3-0 victory, with Yamal's early goal and Raphinha's second-half double ensuring a comfortable result for Flick's team.
