According to a report by Madrid Universal on Sunday November 1, 2026, Real Madrid have reportedly discovered the amount required to secure Pedro Porro's signature as they consider strengthening their right-back position ahead of another potential transfer window.
The Spanish giants enjoyed an impressive summer recruitment campaign, with several new arrivals gradually improving under manager Jose Mourinho. However, finding a dependable right-back remains a concern.
Neither Denzel Dumfries nor Trent Alexander-Arnold has managed to establish himself as Mourinho's preferred option. Consequently, captain Federico Valverde has increasingly occupied the position to provide greater balance.
Although the Uruguayan midfielder has performed admirably in that unfamiliar role, Madrid would prefer allowing him to return to midfield permanently by recruiting another specialist defender.
Tottenham Hotspur's Pedro Porro has emerged as a potential candidate, although securing his services could prove particularly expensive for the Spanish champions.
According to Diario SPORT, Tottenham have placed a valuation between €70 million and €80 million on the 27-year-old Spanish international.
That asking price represents a substantial financial commitment and could force Real Madrid to reconsider their interest before making any formal approach for the defender.
Tottenham possess considerable negotiating power because Porro recently extended his contract until 2031. The Premier League club therefore have little reason to accept reduced offers.
Despite his commitment to Spurs, Porro has previously expressed his desire to return to Spanish football eventually, with Real Madrid and Barcelona reportedly monitoring his situation.
Since arriving from Sporting CP, the defender has established himself among the Premier League's impressive right-backs, demonstrating excellent attacking qualities, crossing ability and considerable energy.
Nevertheless, Madrid already have Dumfries and Trent competing for the same position, making another expensive acquisition difficult to justify without first resolving their existing defensive options.
Dumfries only joined from Inter Milan during the summer, meaning the club could consider it premature to determine his long-term future.
Trent's situation appears different after experiencing 18 difficult months in Spain. The English defender could potentially consider leaving Madrid when next summer's transfer window arrives.
Real Madrid must first evaluate their current options before deciding whether pursuing Porro represents a worthwhile investment. His quality makes him attractive, but Tottenham's valuation complicates negotiations.
