According to a report by Football London on Friday October 23, 2026, Chelsea supporters appear united in their desire to see Nico Paz arrive at Stamford Bridge after reports linked the Argentine playmaker with a potential move to the club under manager Xabi Alonso.
Unlike previous transfer decisions, which divided sections of the fanbase, the interest in Paz has generated widespread excitement. Some supporters previously questioned Chelsea’s summer signings, including Maxence Lacroix, Pep Chavarria and Marco Palestra, over whether they possessed the quality required.
However, the situation appears different with Paz, who has emerged as a highly attractive target. Reports indicate that Chelsea have been monitoring the Como midfielder, widely regarded as one of Argentina’s most exciting young talents.
Chelsea reportedly sent scouts to watch Paz during Como’s 3-2 defeat against Feyenoord and their subsequent 3-1 victory over Fiorentina, where he contributed a goal and an assist.
His performances against Manchester United further strengthened the excitement surrounding him. Como recorded an impressive 4-1 victory, with Paz scoring twice to underline his attacking quality.
Following the reports, Chelsea supporters have called on Clearlake Capital to pursue the midfielder regardless of the potential transfer fee.
One fan declared, “If they can pull off a deal for him, I’ll back this board my entire life,” while another simply demanded that the club bring him in.
Other supporters described Paz as one of the best attacking midfielders after Cole Palmer, praising his current performances and potential contribution to Chelsea.
The 21-year-old could compete with Palmer and Morgan Rogers for the number ten position, while his physical attributes might also allow him to operate in other attacking roles.
However, securing his signature will be difficult. Paz has recorded 45 goals and assists across 85 appearances for Como, attracting attention from several clubs.
Real Madrid reportedly possess a £70 million buyback clause in his contract, potentially complicating Chelsea’s pursuit. Convincing the Argentine to choose Stamford Bridge could prove decisive if Alonso wants to bring him to London.d,
