According to a report by The Chelsea Chronicle on Monday, 2 November 2026, Chelsea are reportedly prepared to reward Estevao Willian with a significant pay rise following his impressive performance in the 2-0 victory over Manchester United.
Spanish newspaper AS claims that the Brazilian teenager is in line for improved financial terms, while a January departure is no longer being considered.
Estevao made his first Premier League start of the season at Stamford Bridge on Saturday and delivered an impressive performance against Manchester United.
The 19-year-old caused problems for Diogo Dalot throughout the encounter and found the net twice, although both efforts were ruled out for offside.
His second attempt, a powerful finish into the top corner, was reportedly ruled offside by just seven centimetres following a VAR review.
His performance came after limited opportunities under new manager Xabi Alonso, with questions raised about his position and role in the Spaniard's system.
There had also been suggestions that the former Palmeiras star could consider his future ahead of the January transfer window following his lack of regular playing time.
However, AS reports that a potential winter exit is now off the table, with Chelsea also considering a significant pay rise to recognise his development and patience.
Alonso also made a point of showing his support for the youngster during Saturday's match.
He substituted Estevao in the 87th minute and embraced him in front of the Stamford Bridge supporters.
The gesture followed previous suggestions that the Brazilian was unhappy with his limited minutes under the new manager.
Chelsea now face a selection decision ahead of their next Premier League fixture against Sunderland, but Estevao's display against Manchester United has strengthened his case for more regular involvement.
His performance and the reported contract plans indicate that Chelsea remain committed to his development as an important part of their long-term project.
