According to a report by Metro on Sunday November 1, 2026, Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United have contacted Bayern Munich youngster Lennart Karl to establish whether he would be interested in moving to the Premier League.
The three English clubs are monitoring the 18-year-old attacking midfielder, who has emerged as one of the brightest young talents in German football since breaking into Bayern's first team in early 2025.
According to German publication Bild, Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United have all made phone calls to Karl to discuss his situation and gauge his interest in a potential move to England.
The reported interest comes amid growing tension surrounding the teenager following criticism from Bayern honorary president Uli Hoeness.
Hoeness recently questioned Karl's social media activity and warned that the youngster was still some distance away from becoming a superstar.
"He's far from being a superstar," Hoeness said.
"Young players need humility. Comparisons with Michael Olise obviously don't do him any good. There's still a world of difference between them."
The comments reportedly caused some unrest within Karl's camp, potentially alerting the Premier League clubs to an opportunity to sign him.
Karl is valued at around €60 million (£50 million), with the report suggesting that an offer in that region could be enough to persuade Bayern to consider his departure.
However, Bayern are not believed to be actively looking to sell the youngster, who remains under contract with the Bundesliga champions until June 2029.
Former Bayern and Chelsea midfielder Michael Ballack, who represents Karl through the Lucky 13 agency, has also defended his client following Hoeness' remarks.
"Lennart is only 18. Where were you at 18? Just as he is trying things out on the pitch, he is doing the same off it," Ballack told DAZN.
He acknowledged that Hoeness was entitled to criticise the teenager's public image but argued that the comments had made Karl a target.
Karl has already made 52 appearances in all competitions for Bayern, helping the club win the Bundesliga, German Cup and German Super Cup.
However, regular starting opportunities have been limited this season, with the midfielder starting just three of Bayern's eight Bundesliga matches.
He was introduced in the 84th minute during Bayern's 2-2 draw against Borussia Dortmund on Saturday.
Despite his limited league starts, Karl's potential has attracted attention from some of England's biggest clubs, with Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United reportedly keeping close tabs on his situation.
A move to the Premier League would represent a major step in the youngster's career, but Bayern's position and his long-term contract mean any deal could prove difficult to complete.
