According to a report by BBC Sport on Sunday, November 1, 2026, Jude Bellingham played a significant role in Real Madrid's 3-0 triumph over Racing Santander, delivering an impressive display that highlighted his importance to the Spanish club.
The England international found the net with Madrid's second goal and consistently influenced their attacking movements, helping the visitors take control of the match before the interval.
Real Madrid began the game with attacking intent and took the lead after just 11 minutes. Matteo Prati fouled an opposition player inside the box, leaving referee Jose Munuera with little choice but to award a penalty. Mbappe stepped forward and confidently sent the spot-kick into the net to give Madrid the advantage.
Bellingham came close to scoring earlier when he rose to meet a floated delivery inside the penalty area. However, Agirrezabala demonstrated excellent goalkeeping ability by producing a fine save to prevent his header from finding the net.
The former Borussia Dortmund midfielder eventually doubled Madrid's advantage in the 21st minute. Guler provided a perfectly timed pass behind the Racing Santander defence, and Bellingham took advantage of the opportunity by entering the box and calmly finishing beyond the goalkeeper.
Throughout the match, the midfielder demonstrated excellent positioning, awareness and attacking movement, constantly creating problems for Racing Santander's defence. He continued to threaten after the restart, forcing another save from Agirrezabala in the 63rd minute with a low effort following a cross into the penalty area.
Madrid further strengthened their position in the 36th minute when Yan Diomande found the net with a spectacular long-range strike after reacting quickest to a rebound outside the box.
Bellingham was unfortunate not to complete his performance with another goal, as his stoppage-time effort was disallowed for offside. Despite missing out on a second strike, he remained heavily involved in Madrid's attacking play and combined impressively with Guler and Mbappe.
His goal, creativity, intelligent positioning and influence in the final third made him one of the outstanding players on the pitch. Bellingham's impressive contribution puts him firmly in contention for the Man of the Match recognition after Madrid's convincing 3-0 success.
