Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho has reportedly named a strong squad for Sunday’s El Clásico against Barcelona, with Kylian Mbappé, Jude Bellingham and Arda Güler included among the notable selections.
According to a report by Daily Post on Saturday, October 24, 2026, the Spanish giants will travel to Camp Nou for the LaLiga encounter with a squad featuring several established stars and promising attacking talents.
The fixture comes at an important moment for both clubs. Barcelona will be eager to respond following their reported Champions League defeat to Paris Saint-Germain, while Madrid will approach the contest with confidence after beating RB Leipzig in midweek.
Mbappé is expected to be one of Madrid’s biggest attacking threats. His pace, intelligent movement and finishing ability could cause problems for Barcelona’s defence, particularly when Mourinho’s team looks to exploit spaces on the counterattack.
Bellingham’s inclusion also provides a major boost to Madrid’s midfield options. The England international offers energy, forward movement and a goal threat, making him an important figure in the team’s plans.
Meanwhile, Güler brings additional creativity and technical quality. The Turkish midfielder’s ability to find teammates with incisive passes and operate in tight spaces could prove valuable against Barcelona’s possession-based approach.
Madrid’s reported selection also includes Eduardo Camavinga, Federico Valverde, Aurélien Tchouaméni and Antonio Rüdiger, giving Mourinho considerable depth across the midfield and defensive departments.
Valverde’s versatility and work rate could be particularly important, while Camavinga and Tchouaméni offer defensive protection and the ability to disrupt Barcelona’s attacking movements.
At the back, Madrid will need to maintain their organisation and avoid individual errors against Barcelona’s dangerous forward line. Defensive concentration could play a decisive role in a fixture often settled by small moments.
Barcelona, however, will be determined to take advantage of their home support and respond positively to their reported European disappointment. The Catalan side will view the encounter as an opportunity to strengthen their position in the title race.
Madrid’s objective will be to carry their midweek form into Sunday’s contest and secure a result away from home. Mourinho will be hoping his team’s attacking quality and defensive discipline are enough to deliver victory at Camp Nou.
