Viktor Gyokores scored and assisted Noni Madueke in Arsenal’s 2-1 win over Slavia Prague in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday night.
The Swede was in the mood to prove head coach Mikel Arteta wrong for his lack of playing time, and he produced the goods for the scrappy win.
Gyokores sent Madueke clear for the opener on nine minutes, the England international slotted into the net through the goalkeeper’s legs.
Gyokores got in on the act on 38 minutes, finsing the far post with a low shot after exchanging passes with Mikel Merino.
The eventful second half saw Slavia Prague have a penalty claim overturned but the Czech league champions got their deserved solitary goal on 89 minutes through Wiktor Nowak.
