According to a report by Madrid Universal on Wednesday November 4, 2026, Real Madrid have designed a special training programme to help Vinicius Jr. rediscover his best form after a difficult period in his career.

The Brazilian winger, who was previously regarded as one of the most dangerous attackers in European football, has struggled to reproduce the performances that made him one of the standout players at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Vinicius enjoyed an outstanding 2023/24 campaign, finishing second in the Ballon d'Or rankings. However, his performances have reportedly declined since then, with his lack of efficiency becoming a growing concern for the Spanish giants.

Despite the criticism surrounding the 26-year-old, Real Madrid remain committed to supporting him, with manager Jose Mourinho determined to help the attacker return to his previous level.

According to Mario Cortegana of The Athletic, Vinicius is aware that his performances have fallen below his usual standards.

The report also claims that personal difficulties, including a break-up with his girlfriend, have affected the Brazilian during an already challenging period.

However, Mourinho continues to rate the winger highly and believes he still possesses the quality to make a significant difference for the team.

As part of the club's efforts to revive his performances, Real Madrid's coaching staff have reportedly developed a special training programme focused on improving his explosiveness, acceleration and physical sharpness.

The programme is intended to help Vinicius recover the physical qualities that previously made him difficult for opposition defenders to contain.

The Brazilian has also reportedly been working to maintain his fitness during his four-match domestic suspension, which kept him out of El Clasico.

Meanwhile, Yan Diomande's impressive performances on the left wing during Vinicius' absence have provided Mourinho with another option in attack.

The summer signing has settled well at Real Madrid and has brought greater balance to the team, particularly in defensive situations.

His performances have increased competition for places, although Real Madrid are reportedly not interested in creating a situation where they have to choose between Vinicius and Diomande.

Mourinho still believes Vinicius can rediscover the level that helped Real Madrid win two Champions League titles.

The manager understands that the Brazilian possesses exceptional individual qualities and can change the outcome of matches through his pace, dribbling and attacking ability.

However, Vinicius will need to translate his determination to improve into better performances on the pitch.

Real Madrid will be hoping that the specialised training programme helps the winger regain his confidence, sharpness and effectiveness in the coming months.
