According to a report by Barca Universal on Saturday, October 31, 2026, Karim Adeyemi is reportedly in contention to start for Barcelona when they host Alaves at Spotify Camp Nou, as manager Hansi Flick considers reshuffling his attacking options following consecutive defeats against Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid.
The German forward has impressed whenever given opportunities this season, and his contributions despite limited playing time have increased his chances of securing a starting position. Flick is believed to be considering changes as Barcelona look to return to winning ways and regain their attacking confidence.
Barcelona face a demanding schedule, with three important fixtures coming within eight days. After entertaining Alaves, the Catalan side will welcome Aston Villa for a Champions League encounter on November 3 before travelling to face Atletico Madrid on November 8.
Flick is eager to restore the attacking quality his team demonstrated earlier in the campaign. Adeyemi's pace, intelligent movement and ability to beat defenders could offer Barcelona another dimension in the final third, particularly against opponents expected to defend in an organised manner.
The 16-year-old has featured in all 13 matches played by Barcelona this season, accumulating approximately 452 minutes across competitions. However, he has started only four of those encounters, meaning most of his appearances have come from the bench.
Despite his restricted involvement, the German international has produced impressive attacking statistics. He has scored four goals and provided three assists, recording seven direct goal contributions in approximately 452 minutes of football.
His efficiency means he has contributed to a goal roughly every 65 minutes, placing him among Barcelona's most productive attacking players this season.
Only Lamine Yamal and Raphinha have recorded better goal contribution averages. Yamal has registered 10 goals and 10 assists, producing a contribution approximately every 55 minutes. Raphinha has delivered even better numbers, scoring 15 goals and providing three assists, with a contribution every 44 minutes.
These statistics demonstrate Adeyemi's effectiveness whenever he receives sufficient opportunities to influence matches. His possible inclusion against Alaves could therefore provide Barcelona with additional attacking energy.
With Aston Villa and Atletico Madrid awaiting them in the coming days, Flick must also manage his squad carefully. Starting Adeyemi could help maintain Barcelona's attacking threat while allowing other forwards to manage their workload during this demanding period.
