According to a report by Football London on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, Chelsea could be willing to let Brazilian winger Estevao Willian join Paris Saint-Germain on a six-month loan in January, but the French club must meet three conditions before the transfer can go ahead.
The 19-year-old is reportedly becoming unhappy with his lack of playing time under Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso. Despite already earning 14 caps for Brazil, Estevao is yet to start a Premier League match this season and has largely been limited to appearances from the bench.
His frustrating situation became more evident during Chelsea’s recent 2-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur. With Joao Pedro unavailable through injury, Alonso chose to play Morgan Rogers as a striker and introduced Geovany Quenda instead of giving Estevao an opportunity.
Meanwhile, PSG are looking to strengthen their attacking options after Khvicha Kvaratskhelia suffered a season-ending anterior cruciate ligament injury. The setback has left the French champions searching for a suitable replacement ahead of the January transfer window.
Reports from France suggest that Estevao is among the players being considered by PSG. Chelsea are reportedly open to a temporary arrangement but have established three requirements that must be satisfied.
The first is that any loan agreement must not include a purchase option or an obligation for PSG to sign the Brazilian permanently. Chelsea remain convinced of his potential and are determined to retain control of his long-term future at Stamford Bridge.
Secondly, PSG would have to cover the winger’s entire salary throughout the loan period. This would prevent Chelsea from continuing to pay his wages while he represents the Ligue 1 side.
The final condition involves playing time. Chelsea reportedly want assurances that Estevao will receive regular opportunities in Paris rather than finding himself restricted to substitute appearances once again.
The Blues believe a temporary departure would serve little purpose if the youngster continued struggling for minutes at another club.
However, securing regular football at PSG may not be straightforward. Despite Kvaratskhelia’s absence, the French side still have several attacking players competing for places, including Ousmane Dembele, Desire Doue, Maghnes Akliouche, Mika Godts and Ferran Torres.
As a result, Estevao’s potential switch will depend largely on PSG’s willingness to meet Chelsea’s demands and provide him with a meaningful role in the team.
Chelsea must also consider whether a temporary move would help the Brazilian gain valuable experience and confidence while keeping him firmly within the club’s long-term plans.
