EPL: Chris Sutton Predicts Liverpool Vs Arsenal, Chelsea Vs Man Utd, Other Fixtures

Former Chelsea striker Chris Sutton has backed the Blues to beat Manchester United, while predicting an Arsenal victory over Liverpool in this weekend's Premier League fixtures.

According to a report by BBC Sport on Thursday 29 October 2026, Sutton has delivered his predictions for matchday nine, with several important encounters scheduled across Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

Chelsea welcome Manchester United to Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon in one of the weekend's biggest fixtures.

Sutton expects the home side to secure all three points, predicting a 3-1 victory for Chelsea. The prediction will attract attention given the importance of the encounter for both clubs as they look to improve their league positions.

Manchester City are also in action on Saturday when they host Brighton. Sutton has backed Pep Guardiola's side to claim a convincing 3-1 win.

Tottenham Hotspur face Crystal Palace later in the day, with Sutton predicting a 2-0 victory for Spurs.

Elsewhere, Bournemouth and Leeds United are expected to share the points in a 1-1 draw. The former Chelsea forward has made the same prediction for Brentford's meeting with Nottingham Forest.

Sunderland are tipped to secure a narrow 1-0 away victory against Coventry City, while Ipswich Town are expected to defeat Hull City 2-1.

Sunday brings another major encounter as Liverpool host Arsenal at Anfield.

Sutton has predicted a difficult contest between the two sides but believes Arsenal will emerge victorious. He expects Mikel Arteta's team to claim a 1-0 away win, a result that would represent an important statement in the Premier League title race.

Aston Villa are also expected to enjoy a positive afternoon, with Sutton backing them to defeat Fulham 3-1.

The round's final fixture takes place on Monday night when Newcastle United welcome Everton. Sutton has surprisingly tipped Everton to secure a 2-1 victory away from home.

His predictions suggest potentially significant results for Chelsea, Arsenal and Everton during a weekend featuring several high-profile Premier League encounters.
