UWCL Table After Manchester City Drew 1-1

According to a report published by BBC Sport on Thursday, October 29, 2026, Manchester City Women missed out on a victory after Paris Saint-Germain Women scored a dramatic late equaliser to secure a 1-1 draw in the UEFA Women's Champions League.

The opening half ended without a goal, as both teams struggled to create clear scoring opportunities. Manchester City attempted to take control of the encounter in front of their home supporters, but PSG maintained a disciplined defensive structure that made it difficult for the hosts to penetrate their backline. After four minutes of additional time, the referee brought the first half to an end with neither side finding the breakthrough.

Following the restart, both teams continued searching for the opening goal. Manchester City made several substitutions to strengthen their attacking options, introducing Mary Fowler in the 62nd minute before later bringing on Niamh Charles and Iman Beney in an effort to increase their offensive threat.

Paris Saint-Germain also made changes as they looked for ways to challenge City's defence. However, neither side managed to make a significant impact until the final stages of the encounter.

Manchester City eventually broke the deadlock in the 85th minute after being awarded a penalty. Khadija Shaw stepped forward and confidently converted the spot-kick, giving the home side a valuable 1-0 advantage. The goal appeared to put City in a strong position to collect all three points, particularly with the match approaching its conclusion.

However, PSG responded just three minutes later. In the 88th minute, Tara Elimbi found the back of the net after receiving an assist from Griedge Mbock Bathy Nka, restoring parity and changing the direction of the contest. The visitors' late response denied Manchester City the opportunity to celebrate a victory despite their efforts throughout the match.

Manchester City attempted to regain their advantage before the final whistle, but PSG held firm to protect their result. The French side demonstrated determination by fighting back after falling behind so late in the game.

Following the draw, Manchester City Women moved to ninth position on the Champions League table with three points. Paris Saint-Germain Women climbed to sixth place, taking their overall points tally to five after securing a valuable away result.
