According to a report by BBC SPORT on Saturday October 31, 2026, Everton Women and Manchester United Women played out a frustrating 0-0 draw after both teams failed to find the breakthrough in their league encounter.
Manchester United created several promising opportunities throughout the contest but were unable to overcome Everton goalkeeper Courtney Brosnan, who produced an impressive performance to keep her side in the game.
Manchester United started brightly and looked dangerous in the opening stages. Andrea Medina tested Brosnan with an effort from outside the penalty area in the eighth minute, but the Everton goalkeeper reacted well to make the save. Medina also had another attempt blocked shortly afterwards, while Ella Toone saw her effort from inside the box denied by Everton's defence.
Everton gradually grew into the contest and began creating opportunities of their own. Yuka Momiki came close in the ninth minute with a shot from distance that narrowly missed the target. Ornella Vignola also tested Manchester United goalkeeper Phallon Tullis-Joyce in the 40th minute, but the American goalkeeper made an important save to preserve her side's clean sheet.
Hannah Blundell went close just before the interval with a long-range effort that forced another good save from Tullis-Joyce. However, neither side managed to break the deadlock before half-time.
The second half continued in a similar fashion, with Manchester United searching for an opening. Elisabeth Terland tested Brosnan in the 55th minute, but her effort was comfortably saved. Everton also threatened through Vignola, whose attempt was stopped by Tullis-Joyce shortly after the restart.
United introduced Simi Awujo, Jayde Riviere and Lea Schüller as they attempted to change the outcome. Terland came closest in the closing stages, forcing Brosnan into two important saves, including a header in the 78th minute.
Despite the late pressure, Everton maintained their defensive discipline to secure a valuable point. Manchester United were left frustrated after failing to convert their chances, as the encounter ended goalless.
