Spanish League Table After Barcelona Won 6-1

According to a report by BBC Sport on Saturday, October 31, 2026, Barcelona delivered an outstanding attacking performance against Alaves, securing a convincing 6-1 victory after scoring four goals in the opening half. The Spanish giants demonstrated their offensive quality throughout the encounter, overwhelming their opponents with impressive movement, creativity and clinical finishing.

Barcelona made an early statement when Raphinha opened the scoring in the eighth minute. The Brazilian forward capitalised on an excellent pass from Fermin Lopez before directing a precise effort towards goal. His shot struck the inside of the right post before crossing the line, giving the hosts an important advantage.

Alaves struggled to cope with Barcelona's attacking pressure as the home side continued to control possession and create dangerous opportunities. Joan Garcia also played an important role by denying Angel Perez from close range, preventing the visitors from finding an equaliser.

The Catalan side doubled their lead in the 23rd minute through Fermin Lopez. The midfielder received a quality delivery from Lamine Yamal before creating space inside the penalty area and firing an unstoppable effort into the top-left corner.

Raphinha extended Barcelona's advantage in the 41st minute, completing his brace after benefiting from another excellent contribution by Fermin. The Brazilian's second goal further highlighted the defensive difficulties experienced by Alaves throughout the first half.

Barcelona were not finished, as Lamine Yamal added a fourth goal during stoppage time. The young winger produced a spectacular long-range effort that left Antonio Sivera unable to prevent the ball from entering the net, completing a dominant first-half display.

Following the restart, Barcelona maintained their attacking intensity despite making several substitutions. Yamal found the net again in the 64th minute, completing his brace with another impressive finish inside the penalty area. Although the goal was reviewed by VAR, the officials eventually confirmed that it was legitimate.

Anthony Gordon subsequently entered the match as a substitute and made an immediate impact. In the 81st minute, he received a pass from Rodri before cleverly lifting the ball over the goalkeeper to register Barcelona's sixth goal.

Alaves eventually found the net in the 84th minute through Mariano Diaz, who scored with a powerful effort to reduce the deficit. However, the consolation goal could not change the result.

The emphatic victory represents a significant boost for Barcelona's Spanish league campaign, underlining their attacking strength and determination to remain competitive in the title race.
