Victories away to Derby County (3-2) and at home to Fulham (4-2) in our first two games in Group G have left us with maximum points on top of the four-team table and on the cusp of qualification for the quarter-finals.

Second-placed Newcastle, who have four points, are the only other side who could advance from our group – only the top team from each group reaches the knockout stages – and although a draw would be enough for us to advance, a win for the home side would see them leapfrog us to make the last eight.

It’s all to play for at the Magpies’ training ground on Saturday – the team travelled to the north east after training on Friday, with the match getting underway at 11am GMT.
