Former Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, has revealed what he told the club's senior officials about appointing Michael Carrick.
Both Solskjaer and Carrick were interviewed by United to replace Ruben Amorim in January 2026.
But the Norwegian has now claimed he spoke highly about Carrick during his own interview.
“When I spoke with Man United, I also spoke highly of Michael Carrick," Solskjaer told Forza Football.
“I said: If you choose him, you’re getting a good man."
Carrick is currently under serious pressure at Old Trafford, having failed to win the last nine fixtures in all competitions.
