Three Tottenham Hotspur players have made it into WhoScored’s Premier League Team of the Week for matchday 9, including two of the club’s summer signings.

The mood around Spurs has completely shifted over the last few weeks, with the Lilywhites climbing off the bottom of the table into ninth place with three consecutive wins.

They now find themselves just three points off a Champions League spot, and many of Tottenham’s summer signings, who were coming under criticism a few weeks ago, are now starting to deliver the goods.

Jan Paul van Hecke is now setting records with his passing and starting to demonstrate just why Roberto De Zerbi wanted to bring him through the door, but he is not the only Spurs player to make the Team of the Week.

Andy Robertson and Mohammed Kudus recognised for outstanding Tottenham performance

It is no surprise that Van Hecke has made it into WhoScored’s Team of the Week after helping Spurs keep a clean sheet and scoring his first goal for the club.

In fact, the Dutchman is the highest-rated outfield player as per the data analysis platform, being given a rating of 8.36 out of 10.

Mohammed Kudus also makes it into the Team of the Week with a performance rating of 7.91, while Andy Robertson also gets in, with his display against Crystal Palace earning a 7.6.

WhoScored were not the only ones to rate Van Hecke as the best player across the Premier League this season, with Sofascore also naming the Tottenham centre-back.

In the latter, Van Hecke was handed a 9.8 out of 10, just beating out his former Brighton teammate, Bart Verbruggen, who got a 9.6 for his fine performance between the sticks at the Etihad Stadium.

Andy Robertson has shown why class is permanent

At the start of the season, many Spurs fans would have been concerned had they been told Robertson would play as many games as he has, due to Destiny Udogie’s injury issues.

The perception was that he had lost a bit of his legs and his one-v-one defending had also significantly deteriorated. However, in the last two games against Chelsea and Crystal Palace, the Scotland international has shown why he was considered the best left-back in the Premier League for so long.

The competition with the 32-year-old could bring the best out of Udogie if the Italian can stay fit.
