Future Eagles Finish 76th at FIFA U-15 World Cup After Defeat to Panama

Nigeria's Future Eagles ended their campaign at the FIFA U-15 World Cup in Baku, Azerbaijan, with a 2-1 defeat to Panama in Friday's 75th-place classification match, reports Nigeriasoccernet.com.

The loss meant the Nigerian youngsters settled for 76th position among the 189 teams that participated in the tournament.

Nigeria finished the competition with two wins, four draws and three defeats from nine matches, bringing their journey to an end after an inconsistent run of results.

The Future Eagles also featured in two penalty shootouts during the tournament but were unable to turn those opportunities into a stronger final position.

Although the outcome fell short of expectations, the competition offered the young players an opportunity to test themselves against international opposition and gain valuable experience at the global level.

The exposure could prove useful as the players continue their development and work towards future opportunities with Nigeria's youth national teams.
