Tottenham Hotspur’s 2-0 victory over Chelsea has earned Mateus Fernandes and Mathys Tel places in the Premier League Team of the Week for Matchweek 8, while head coach Roberto De Zerbi has been selected as manager of the week.

Spurs secured the London derby win at Stamford Bridge, with the result earning recognition for two of their players and their head coach in the latest weekly selection.

Tottenham are not the only club to have multiple representatives.

Aston Villa have three players included after defeating Manchester City 2-1, while AFC Bournemouth lead the selections with four players following their 3-0 win over Manchester United.

Nicolas Jackson is among Villa’s representatives after scoring both goals in the victory over City.

The striker opened the scoring in the sixth minute and restored Villa’s lead in the 60th, after Erling Haaland had briefly brought the visitors level.

Goalkeeper Zion Suzuki and midfielder Boubacar Kamara complete Villa’s trio. Suzuki has now been selected for a second consecutive week.

Bournemouth’s quartet comprises James Hill, Adrien Truffert, Rayan and Evanilson.

Rayan scored the opening goal against Manchester United before Evanilson added the third, while Marcus Tavernier also found the net in the 3-0 win.

The Matchweek 8 selection reflects the strong results recorded by Villa, Bournemouth and Tottenham over the weekend.

Fans can also put forward their own choices for the Premier League Fan Team of the Week.

The league will combine supporters’ selections and announce the resulting line-up on Wednesday.
