Lisandro Martinez errors keep costing manchester even after blaming the management

I remember that day after the Atlético Madrid match when you were all on my neck because Lisandro Martínez criticised the board, saying they had failed to sign good enough players for this season.

I said I agreed that the board had not done enough in the transfer market, and they were fully aware of that. However, even if the board failed to sign enough players, that cannot be used to excuse everything happening on the pitch.

Remember, the only player we lost from the group that played the final 15 matches of last season, secured Champions League qualification and delivered some impressive performances was Casemiro. So, where has that performance gone? You cannot tell me that this is still the board's fault.

Even if this Manchester United squad isn't good enough, there is no way these players should be going nine consecutive matches without a single win. These players are good, even if they aren't great. Manchester United is a big club that needs great players, but that doesn't mean a good manager cannot get positive results out of the current squad.

Now, the same Lisandro Martínez who was blaming the sporting director for failing to sign players isn't even showing why he deserves to wear this red shirt.

He made a costly mistake that led to United conceding against Ipswich, if you still remember. Today, he made another mistake, received a red card, gave away a penalty and will now miss yet another match.

This is a player whose contract I wouldn't renew when it expires next year. Stop putting all the blame on an innocent sporting director while some players are failing to take responsibility for their own performances.

Even if it were up to me, I wouldn't approve any more signings until I saw clear evidence that the players already at the club were genuinely trying and giving everything for the badge.

Lisandro Martínez should be the first player to leave, even ahead of Lindelöf, if Lindelöf were still a Manchester United player.
