Chelsea midfielder Cole Palmer has reportedly asked not to be considered for England's upcoming international fixtures after a scheduling clash with the launch of his new business venture, Cole’d Ice.
According to football journalist David Ornstein, Palmer's decision is understood to be linked to the grand opening of his electrolyte ice business, which is expected to hit supermarket shelves in the United Kingdom.
The products are set to be stocked by major retailers Tesco and Sainsbury’s, with the England international reportedly keen to be personally involved in the launch and meet customers.
The timing of the launch is said to have clashed with England's second upcoming fixture, prompting Palmer to request that he not be considered for selection by head coach Thomas Tuchel.
The development means the Chelsea star could miss the international matches, although the circumstances surrounding his reported request have yet to be officially confirmed by the Football Association or the player.
