AFC Leopards remain third in the FKF Premier League standings after playing out a goalless draw against 3K FC at Moi Stadium in Embu on Saturday, missing an opportunity to move closer to the leading two teams.
Ingwe took their points tally to 10 from six matches but remain behind defending champions Gor Mahia, who have 12 points from five outings, and leaders KCB, who are on 13 points after six matches.
The result means Leopards have now recorded four draws and two victories without suffering a league defeat this season.
However, their inability to convert more of those stalemates into wins has prevented them from putting pressure on the teams above them.
Tom Ikara was instrumental in ensuring Leopards left Embu with a point after saving a penalty in the 55th minute.
The goalkeeper denied Glen Kariuki, who had stepped forward after being brought down inside the penalty area.
3K had threatened from the opening stages, with Sally Ali Yipoh striking the crossbar inside the first minute. The hosts continued to create opportunities but could not find a way past Ikara.
At the other end, Leopards struggled to produce the decisive moment despite improving after the interval.
The draw leaves Ingwe three points behind KCB and two behind Gor Mahia, who have a match in hand against Nairobi United.
Leopards will therefore be looking to return to winning ways in their next assignment as they attempt to close the gap on the leading sides.
