After Chelsea Lost 2-0, Here Is How EPL Table Stands

According to the Premier League results reported on Saturday, October 24, 2026, Tottenham Hotspur secured a 2-0 victory over Chelsea in the London derby, while several other matches produced important changes in the league standings.

Chelsea entered the encounter hoping to strengthen their position among the leading teams, but Tottenham delivered a strong performance to claim all three points. The defeat was a setback for the Blues as they continued their efforts to secure a place in European competition next season.

Tottenham, meanwhile, will hope the derby victory provides a foundation for improved performances in their upcoming fixtures. The result also offered the North London club an opportunity to gain valuable points and improve its position in the Premier League table.

Elsewhere, Arsenal continued their pursuit of the league leaders with a 2-0 win over Everton. The victory took the Gunners to 21 points, drawing them level with Manchester City and adding further pressure to the title race.

Manchester City, however, experienced a disappointing afternoon after suffering a 2-1 defeat against Aston Villa. The loss ended City's unbeaten start to the league campaign and gave Arsenal an opportunity to narrow the gap at the top of the standings.

Aston Villa benefited from the result, collecting three valuable points against one of the teams competing for the title. The victory also strengthened their position in the upper half of the table as the competition for European qualification continued.

Fulham also recorded a narrow victory, defeating Coventry City 1-0. The result gave Fulham an important boost as they sought to climb the standings, while Coventry were left needing better results in their subsequent matches.

Friday's fixture between Ipswich Town and Nottingham Forest ended in a 1-1 draw. Both teams collected a point after neither side managed to secure a winning goal.

With additional matches scheduled for Sunday, the Premier League standings could undergo further changes. Liverpool, Manchester United, and other clubs were among the teams expected to feature as the weekend programme continued.

Chelsea will now look to respond in their upcoming fixtures, while Tottenham will aim to build on their derby success. Meanwhile, Arsenal's victory and Manchester City's defeat have added another development to the increasingly competitive title race.
