The 2026/27 Women's Premier League season kicks off across various centres - Southern Zone Preview

The 2026/27 Women's Premier League season kicks off across various league centres this weekend. In the Southern Zone, former champions Hasaacas Ladies will travel to the capital to face Army Ladies at the El Wak Sports Stadium, while debutants Rootz Sistaz host Oak Ladies in their first top-flight game.

Army Ladies vs Hasaacas Ladies

The Ghana Women's Premier League kicks off for Army Ladies on Saturday with a challenging home fixture against Hasaacas Ladies FC at the El Wak Stadium. Army Ladies will hope to ride on home support for a strong start, but face a stern test against Hasaacas Ladies, one of the established forces in Ghanaian women's football.

Jonina Ladies vs Police Ladies

Jonina Ladies will begin their fourth consecutive Premier League campaign at home as they host former champions Police Ladies at the Antie Aku Astro Turf. The hosts have won each of their last two season openers since gaining promotion, while Police Ladies will be hoping to start positively as they seek a return to the top four.

Samartex Ladies vs Epiphany Warriors

Samartex Ladies begin their 2026/27 campaign with a home encounter against Epiphany Warriors at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena. Having gained valuable experience from last season, Samartex will be determined to start with renewed energy and give their supporters something to celebrate.

Immigration Ladies vs LadyStrikers

Immigration Ladies will mark their return to the top flight at home to LadyStrikers. The service side will be hoping to start with maximum points, while Cape Coast-based LadyStrikers will pose a difficult challenge after a consistent campaign last season.

Rootz Sistaz vs Oak Ladies

Debutants Rootz Sistaz will host Oak Ladies at the Senchi Methodist Astro Turf in their first top-flight fixture. Oak Ladies fought hard to remain in the top flight in the 2025/26 season, and a win for either side will boost morale for the rest of the season.
