Hard Work, Discipline Fueling BUL FC’s Title Charge, Says Midfield Anchor Katongole

Overview:

Despite the mounting excitement surrounding BUL's title credentials, Katongole insists the squad is keeping their feet firmly on the ground.

Midfield mainstay Frank Katongole has revealed that the secret behind his stellar individual performances and BUL FC’s sensational start to the season comes down to pure hard work, ironclad discipline, and relentless focus.

The former U17 and U20 Ugandan international has cemented his place in the center of the park since switching from Vipers SC. He put on a masterclass performance as the league leaders secured a historic maiden victory over NEC FC, further widening their lead at the summit of the table.

“One Game at a Time”

Despite the mounting excitement surrounding BUL’s title credentials, Katongole insists the squad is keeping their feet firmly on the ground.

“It is discipline, teamwork, and focus,” Katongole said. “We are focused as a team and want to achieve something big, but for now, we focus game per game.”

The Isabirye Factor

The midfielder was also quick to praise tactical mastermind Alex Isabirye, thanking the tactician for placing his faith in a younger core following a massive squad overhaul. BUL FC parted ways with over ten experienced players at the end of last season, a risky move that has paid off handsomely.

“It is a pleasure working with him,” Katongole added. “He makes us believe we can conquer any team, and I am delighted with his trust.”

Isabirye’s youthful revolution is firing on all cylinders. Alongside Katongole, a hungry crop of youngsters including Swabir Mpasa, Simon Achidi, Richard Okello, Ronald Madoi, and Denis Ssewagudde have stepped up to spearhead the club’s campaign.

Unstoppable Form

The numbers speak for themselves. BUL remain completely unbeaten this season, dropping just two points to collect an astonishing 19 points out of a possible 21.

Katongole and his teammates have already shifted their gaze to the next big test. The table-toppers will put their unbeaten streak on the line when they travel to face a dangerous Kitara FC side on October 28.
