Menengai Oilers put on an absolute masterclass of running rugby on Saturday evening, overpowering the Strathmore Leos 76–13 in a lopsided Impala Floodlit semi-final encounter.

From the opening whistle, the Nakuru-based side demonstrated superior structure, blistering pace, and ruthless finishing, leaving the University side scrambling for answers throughout the match.

The Oilers wasted no time asserting their dominance. Alvin Khavoli opened the scoring in the 3rd minute, setting the tone for a relentless evening. Fly-half Moses Ajak proved indispensable, acting as an attacking catalyst while punishing the Leos off the tee with pinpoint conversion accuracy.

Despite valiant defensive efforts from Strathmore, the Oilers breached the defensive line at will. Relentless tactical phases and additional tries from Ibrahim Ayoo and Elkeans Musonye stretched the lead, building an insurmountable advantage by halftime.

Any hopes of a second-half turnaround for Strathmore were quickly dismantled. Menengai Oilers maintained their high tempo, utilizing their bench strength effectively. Substitutes Glacious Owino, Isaac Samuel, and John Okoth seamlessly integrated into the backline rhythm.

Okoth added his name to the scoresheet with sharp finishing, while Owino contributed heavily to conversions and distribution in the closing stages. The Oilers’ depth and superior conditioning shone brightly through the final quarter, sealing a resounding 76–13 full-time victory and securing their place in the final.
