The striker returned from injury with an outing off the bench during the second half of last weekend's defeat at Aston Villa.

Lucy Parry and Mari Ward made their comebacks in the Subway Players Cup loss to Manchester United in midweek, but the Reds will remain without Ceri Holland and Sam Kerr at St Helens Stadium on Sunday.

Taylor told reporters on Friday: "Sam Kerr is back in training but this game will be a bit too soon for her. So, that's a positive. Hopefully we can get her back for the busy period afterwards.

"We obviously saw Lucy and Mari take that next step, of course. I think a lot of our players at the moment – the likes of Mao [Itamura] as well – we can't quite get them to 90 minutes. We got Marie [Höbinger] to 90 minutes, which was good.

"Viv will be available at the weekend from the start, which is a positive.

"But like I say, Sam Kerr and Ceri [are] not quite there at the moment."
